At Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas (SPSFNWA), we’ve spent more than 40 years empowering single parents through higher education, helping them overcome obstacles, achieve stability, and model strength and success for their children. Now, as our reach and impact grow, we are preparing to take the next bold step in our journey: a new, permanent home built specifically to meet the needs of the families we serve.
Welcome to the Building for Success Capital Campaign.
A Purpose-Built Center for Hope and Opportunity
Located in Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale, the future Pat Walker Center for Success will serve as a hub for our recipients in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties. At more than 13,000 square feet, this facility will centralize our services and expand our ability to provide critical support.
Key features of the new building include:
- A counseling suite and therapy garden to support the mental health of our recipients and their children.
- A more substantial dry pantry stocked with essential items not covered by government assistance.
- A multi-purpose education room for workshops, trainings, and celebrations—saving the organization rental costs.
- Dedicated space for private coaching, staff collaboration, and volunteer engagement.
This space is more than bricks and mortar—it’s about dignity, belonging, and the transformative power of education and community.
Where We Stand—and How You Can Help
Thanks to an extraordinary $1.5 million lead gift from the Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, the new facility will bear the name the Pat Walker Center for Success. Their investment inspired early momentum and helped us reach 66% of our $7.4 million goal.
We won’t break ground until every dollar is committed—and that’s where you come in.
The Mabee Challenge Grant: A $1 Million Opportunity
We are thrilled to have received a $1 million challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation. To unlock this generous funding, SPSFNWA must raise the remaining $1.8 million by April 2026.
Meeting this challenge will take all of us, individual donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners, coming together to invest in brighter futures for single parents and their families.
Whether you give through a one-time donation, a multi-year pledge, IRA distribution, donor-advised fund, or other planned gift, every contribution brings us one step closer to a home where success is within reach for all.
Join the movement. Build for success. Empower families.
