The Mental Health Program, led by Michelle Cox, MS, LPC, LMFT, RPT, is a cornerstone of SPSFNWA support services. Michelle’s expertise is available to our recipients and their children at no cost. This service is crucial for single-parent students, enhancing their well-being, helping them manage stress, and improving their academic performance. Michelle’s guidance also supports our recipient’s educational journey and fosters a healthier, more balanced life for their families.
Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Theraplay Level 1, Trauma Play Foundational training and is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner.
SPSFNWA is proud to offer other key supportive services to our recipients. Our program is not just simply a check or financial support. We pride ourselves on offering well-rounded support to our single-parent families. However, with access to thousands of other non-profits, SPSFNWA ensures that our services do not duplicate those that can be accessed elsewhere, providing our recipients with unique and valuable support.
