Spark of Hope 2021 Recap!

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas (SPSFNWA) hosted the 19th annual Spark of Hope Awards Ceremony virtually on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 to honor its scholarship recipients and supporters. 
 
Over 300 scholarship recipients, alumni and contributors gathered online for the program, emceed by Jaclyn House from Fox 24/KNWA and Jake McBride from Nash Icon 94.3.
 

 
SPSF NWA current scholarship recipient Montinique Davis shared her triumphs and goals as a single parent scholarship recipient. Montinique shared her gratitude to the supporters who have helped her along the way:
 
“They have been a family to us, and they have been there when no one else was.”
 
 
Alumna Mandi Beesler shared about the support, both financially and professionally, she received while a recipient.
 
 
The prestigious Spark of Hope awards were presented to Mike and Susan Duke for Outstanding Individuals, Greenwood Gearhart as Outstanding Corporation, and Professional Business Systems for Outstanding Community Partner. Each award recipient received handcrafted glass award in recognition for their support.
 
 
This year’s event raised a total of $81,056.50 for scholarships for single parent families.
